It wasn’t always easy for me to share my dreams with my husband, especially in the beginning of our relationship. But, this one particular morning, the dream was about him. At the time he drove an orange 1976 Oldsmobile. Actually, it was more like a boat. He loved this car. He had it custom painted, then airbrushed his favorite baseball team on the hood and doors. It wasn’t hard to miss him when he drove around town.

Anyway, in my dream my husband had left for work. I went outside to wait for my own ride. I was picked up by what seemed to be a limousine. We were traveling down the highway when the driver suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. And immediately got out of the car. I was confused, so I too got out of the car. There was a large crowd of people which made it hard to see what all the commotion was about.

I began to work my way to the front of the line where everyone gathered in a half circle. I saw a small blue car that was so smashed; it hardly looked like an automobile. It looked more like a crushed soda can.

I took notice to how all the people were looking down towards the ground. I wanted to see what they were looking at. That’s when I saw the body. An accident had occurred just before we arrived. The driver of the blue car was on the floor dead. I turned my head to see what other car was involved. It was my husbands’ car, it was the one that caused the accident. I took a deep breath and screamed as hard as I possibly could.

I opened my eyes and sat straight up in the bed .I looked over at my husband to see if he was still home. I didn’t feel right. The dream carried over with me. The fear I felt in my dream carried over as I awoke.

I waited for him to get up for work and proceeded to tell him about my dream. I asked him to please drive carefully and pay full attention. He said ok, but he took it lightly. He didn’t really believe in any kind of paranormal.

Later that morning he called me from work. I asked him how his day was going and he told me he was almost in an accident. Of course I freaked out and had a million questions. Apparently he was on his way to work when he lost his brakes pulling into the parking lot. I definitely feel that we were warned. Thank God he didn’t go to any stores and went straight to the job. Who knows what would have happened if he lost his breaks two minutes earlier on the highway!
