Why Can’t People Be Allowed to Worship How They Want
Jessica wrote:
Why can’t people be aloud to worship anyway they want. Why are some people so damn convinced that they have to convert everyone in the world to their religion. From what I see all religions are the same, its just some people get in touch to a higher being or self in different ways. I think the world would be a lot better place.
Lucid’s Thoughts:
Hello Jessica! Religion, just like Politics, is a very touchy subject, and this is mainly due to the fact that opinions are involved. We all tend to have them, and some opinions are so strong, it blinds the possibility of any others being right or better.
Religion is a very personal choice, and no one should preach to another on what to believe, or how to live. I agree with you there, but just like them, you are voicing your opinion.
My personal belief about God and my Angels may differ from my neighbors, but I do not force my opinion onto them. I know what is right for me and I leave it at that. Unless I am approached, or asked, I live my life according to how and what makes me feel good; what brings me, Lucid, closer to God and my Higher Self.
We can’t stop or control anybody but ourselves. I think you just need to find what works for you and stick with it. I know family and friends, even strangers will try to convince you that their way is the best, but you can only follow the path that you feel is best for you in your life. You can’t worry your whole life over other people, it will make you sick, and then no one benefits.
Thanks for writing in and have a great day!!!

Lucid,
I agree, we should not be subjected to the conversion tatics of others, however, for many converting others to their belief system is part of their religious beliefs and in their eyes their duty to God.
Approach these people with love, ask questions, get them thinking. I believe that is the best way to talk with people who are trying to convert you to their beliefs.
Remember, from their perspective the act of trying to convert another is an act of love. Love them back and help them to understand that you accept them however have your own beliefs.

Hi Lucid,
I try to stay out of the religious convo’s myself. I have my own beliefs to. I agree with Mark though – most people are full of happiness and want to share. I think for the most part they mean no harm.
Jessica if you want, just tell them you are very satisified with your beliefs I am sure they mean well.

Hi Lucid,
I agree, we all have to find what works for us and if religion doesn’t work for some people, then they shouldn’t do it. God is a free agent which doesn’t belong to any religion.

Hi Lucid,
Unfortunately, I think you are right – religion and politics are painfully close in reality. And absolutely, one has to find their own way to feed their spirit and soul, whether through a traditional religion, a new age religion or just a spiritual philosophy.

I am very interested in this religion discussion. I feel if someone feels so deeply devoted in their religion don’t knock it! What matters the most is how you feel to the person who is practicing their faith! I feel prsonally that my love one will feel comfort praticing their faith. And you know sometimes we as a society have to be cool with that. Thank you for the topic I love your blogs

Good morning Mark!
I have nothing less then the deepest respect for everyones belief systems, that is for sure…..And your right on…. They are just trying to spread the word so to speak, but I can see where this could be a problem.
ex…. If you have grown up in a strict religious family, and the family insists that you follow, it could cause a major issue.
Another one is, what happens if you fall in love with someone that society or your spiritual community frowns upon because they don’t agree….
Again this is a subject we can all dance circles around…
Thanks for your addition, good to see you!

Hello Angie!
Yes, Mark is correct, most people who share want to expand their happiness, and that’s a good thing.
I have had the Mormon Missionaries come to my house, and I let them in to talk. It didn’t mean I was converting that day, but they were very nice…. Oh, that reminds me, I have a story I need to post about this lololol It is funny and back when I was alot younger….
I had it on my other site, but I think it belongs here.
Have a great day!

Morn’n Alexys!
I like that …”God is a free agent which doesn’t belong to any religion” God is a free agent isn’t he…. When you think about it, that is what allow us to practice and believe in so many different ways!
Literally, Thank God for that!
Have an awesome day!

Hi There Writer Chick!
I am very thankful to be in an Era where we have different avenues to roam. I glad that my path and your path may cross, but that the road is big enough that we won’t bump!
Religion & politics are a ring of fire….
Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Hello Mr. H!
I am glad you like my sites! I appreciate the feed back! Your right, don’t knock what works for any one individual. We should all have the want to share in the happiness, and the love that we have and find, but we also should hold fast to the respect of others so that we do not offend.
I think what it all boils down to is, the repsect, love, and acceptance of each other though we all differ.
Thanks for your thoughts and be well!

I just wanted to say that I agree with everyone’s opion. We as people are the ones with the ”FREE AGENCY.” We were given that ”GIFT” from our Heavenly Father so we could choose for ourselves about when and where we wanted to learn about him. To be able to choose wrong from right. There has to be evil in order to be good. I hope you understand what I am saying.
Thanks Lucid, have a great week.
