Should I Adopt Another Cat?
Liz Asks:
My local shelter is being taken over by new management, and the new owners will be euthanizing the unwanted pets. They asked me if I could adopt another cat, I feel really bad, but I am not sure if I should?
Lucid’s Thoughts:
Liz, your not alone. Most people with a caring heart feel awful when they hear about animals being put down because the shelters are over crowded, and can not find them a home. It is an unfortunate situation. However, you must make your decision with clarity. Try to put aside your emotions and think this decision through. You have a cat now, and you know what you got. If you bring another one into your home you don’t know what your going to get.
Take some time and weigh out the pro’s and con’s. This world can be a cruel place, but you can’t be guilted into sacrificing your own “life”. I wish you luck!

Sweety, careful with this decision. For all the love you have for your cat at this moment, it can turn into a nasty situation later on. And it would be a shame if you ended up with resentful feelings if the cats do not get along.

I have a cat her name is Jane. I picked her up from a shelter. One act of charity is good. You can not save every animal in the world or we would all have a house full of cats and dogs.. You have a great heart but you must think of your wallet as well..
