Meditation Brings Freedom
Freedom is when I can sit or lye, and just do nothing! No work, no people, no dishes to be done, not even a thought to process; nothing. This freedom comes when I meditate.
I set aside all things or thoughts that stress me. I don’t sit for long, maybe 15 minutes or so. I have some favorite tunes I use when I meditate that help set the mood, and then I am off.
I don’t waste too much time focusing on a “clear mind”. I love to set my mind free to travel where ever it wants to go, see what ever it wants to see, and be anything it wants to be.
When I sit down and close my eyes, the chains that bind me to this earth are broken. My spirit/ conscious awareness/ third eye stays locked up in my body most of the day. The only time it has to go out and play is when I am sleeping, or if I consciously set it free i.e. meditation.
It is so liberating to be without boundaries holding me back from what I really am. There is nothing like the feeling of being connected with everything, and yet, nothing at all.
Pain, worry, sadness, and frustration are just some of the negative feelings, or emotions that can be shed through meditation. These emotions can be replaced with peace, love, joy and happiness.
I don’t practice every day. To me, it would then become too routine; it would not have the same effect on me. For others it is a way of life. I guess it’s “too each his own.” Everyone requires different things.
You may want to try it and see what a difference it can make in your life.

“Meditation brings freedom.” What a great title! Yes, it does. Thank you for describing it so aptly. I loVe your depiction of the third eye locked up all day, until we let it free through sleep or meditation. Have a beautiful day today, Lovely Lucid.

Meditation, the art of being still is very freeing in many ways! Many of our worlds troubles would disappear if only we would learn how to be still and quiet for a few moments a day.

Hi, Lucid!
Hope you and yours enjoyed a wonderful holiday. I spend alot of time in silence by choice…living somewhat of a meditative lifestyle. Learning to let go and quiet my mind has done more to increase my overall wellbeing than anything I else I can think of. Thank you for this wonderful post!

You make such wonderful points, Lucid. Thank you for encouraging readers to think and perceive differently than before. We can begin to expand our sense of self through mediation. Listening to your own views and experiences can also enriche us in other ways.

I was attracted by the beautiful title of this post. Indeed, I believe freedom is what we all need, and what we all are going to attain, sooner or later. Freedom through meditation, that is great. Freedom through other spiritual means, that’s also possible. Freedom through love and through enlightenment are my favorites. Thanks for this great post.
