Laugh Your Way Out of a Bad Mood
Laugh your way out of a bad mood! They say laughter is a good form of stress relief and it is true!
It not only feels great to let out a hardy laugh, there are chemicals that are released during a laughing session. Stress reducing hormones/chemicals like endorphins are released. They also act as the body’s natural pain killer.
When we are stressed out, in physical discomfort, or emotionally hurting, our body tends to tense up. Laughing gives our body a quick work out. The muscles contract and blood flow increases to various parts of the body. Once the oxygenated blood is received by every cell, it leaves us with an over all feeling of relaxation. Sometimes laughing could leave us with a feeling of being “high”.
If you look at children and how much they laugh, you will notice how life rolls off their shoulders. It is not just about the lack of knowledge regarding this stressful adult life, it is their carefree imagination, playful minds, and laughing little souls! We should take refresher courses from them, we were once a child too!
Here are some suggestions that may help lighten your mood:
1. Find a funny movie, if there is none on the T.V, go out and rent one; it will be worth it.
2. Call a friend and go out to a Comedy Club. Most comedians are funny and getting out of the house alone may help.
3. Read a funny book.
4. If you are ticklish, have someone tickle you.
5. Reach into your memory and tell a funny story. If you do not have one, ask someone around you if they have a good one to share.
6. Have a party and make the theme around funny humorous things.
Lucid‘s Thoughts:
It is imperative to find humor in the bloops and blunders life has to offer. We can not be serious about everything, it will make us nothing more then an empty shell of boring seriousness.
Go out, have fun, socialize. Laugh and make others laugh with you. It is always fun to laugh amongst friends!
*What are some of the things that make you laugh or get you out of a bad mood?

I call my cousin when I am in a bad/stressed out mood. We have a way of making each other laugh about nothing or everything at the same time. We don’t need the comedians

A comedy show sounds like a fun night out, but I have a few good movies that do it for me at home… I like the Eddie Murphy 80’s movies.. I also like the movie Junior with Danny Devito and Arnold ….
It is true. I can be in a crappy mood and then once I start laughing it seems to pass faster

My kids and I are always laughing. As much as they can stress me out they are good for a few laughs threw out the day!
But dealing with small kids is no funny matter lol

Laughter is the best medicine, however there are those times when even a laugh is hard to find.

Hello Chrissie!
There is something very valuable about being able to laugh with a family member of friend over everything and nothing at the same time! It is a great stress reliever!
I wish more people had these kinfd of moments. They are so fun, and the child within tends to come out and play!
Thanks for visiting!!!

Hi Cheri!
I love Eddie Murphy too. I loved his stand up comedy even though it went over the top with the cursing!
I love comedy movies!
Thanks for sharing!

Your funny Angie!
You are right, there are times when kids are a crying matter, I know I have three!
But, I am very close with them. I also laugh hard with them, especially when they role play and make fun of me lol.
Have a great night!

Yes, you are right Randy! Sometimes when we are down and out, laughter seems like the farthest thing from the mind. Hopefully those times are seldom and don’t last long!
Be well and have a fun night

I tend to laugh at myself more then anyone else. “I crack myself up” But when I am mad I dont know what can make me laugh, I cant just get up and go to the video store or run to the next show but I will smile cause I read in a book once “The Secret” I am sure many have read it, in that book it says if you just smile and smile and smile you will feel better and guess what, It works..
Laugh on crew!! And Lucid I am sure your ass is not that HUGE!!!!
Oh and FYI I never finished the book cause I can never sit still that long..
LOL!!!!!!!!
