Do You Ever Use Tarot Cards?

Lucid’s Thoughts:
I must admit, I do toy with them. I read for myself on an as need basis. They are not my forte; I have to still reference the booklet.
Occasionally if I am with a friend or family member, we will pull the cards out for entertainment. I have this one deck that seems to be right on the money.
I don’t live my life by them, but they are a fun reference.

When I was younger I once had a deck of regular playing cards. My girlfriend and I would use them everyday after school to find out what would be the latest. They had no known meanings, at least that we were aware of. lol I think we were just making it up as we went along. It was fun. The one thing I stayed away from was the ouija board. Being brought up in a strict Christian family, I had no choice.

I have never had a tarot reading, however I would imagine that we see a lot of what we want to see in the cards. This not a bad thing, matter of fact I could see where this could be a useful tool to do some introspection.

I had my cards read recently. The lady was pretty accurate actually. As far as the future part I won’t know til it happens or doesn’t whichever. It was so expensive. I paid $50 and it lasted maybe 20 mintues. Most of the stuff I was told I knew already I was just impressed that she was able to pick up on it.

LOL Cheri, that is cute. I guess we could turn anything into a channel for information
I am sure there are people who use regular cards. I am not sure how they would base the meanings of those cards but…

Hi Mark, your are right, some people will see what they want to see, or what they think they should be seeing.
I have had my cards read professionally, but I never go with the intent of the reader telling me my past, present & future. Why would I pay for that. I usually go to have my own thoughts or feelings validated.
When big events take place in my life, and at times they have been off the charts, I tend to get to close to the subject and find it alil hard to be bias.
I have always put reality before anything else. I know some poeple will try to take the information given, and make it fit somehow which is not good.
Thanks for your thoughts!

lol Randy, yup it is expensive. I have paid more then that though, so it wasn’t too too bad.
I hardly ever go, especially now’ a days. I would go occassionally when I was younger. But it is hard to find someone as strong or stronger than me to talk with my “peeps” I don’t want them telling me about me… I usually want to confirm a message or thought regarding my spirituality or spiritual work. This only happens if I feel blocked, which thank God doesn’t happen too often.
Have a nice day!
