Conscious Astral - OBE Travel

As people strengthen channeling, they may also discover powerful astral dreaming. Please share views or experiences on conscious astral & out-of-body experiences.
Lucid’s Thoughts:
Hello Liara! Thanks for writing in. When someone ventures into channeling, they open themselves up to new worlds- period! The dream state is just one aspect that is enhanced. Here I have had many experiences where I have traveled outside my “normal” realms. I consciously initiate visitations as I close my eyes.
I have visited my father numerous times since he has passed ten years ago. Most of my visits have come with messages; some were for me personally, and others were for other people in my life.
I have experienced these visitation types mainly with the dead, but I knew this girl a few years ago, I would say she was an acquaintance. For one reason or another, I would go to her in my sleep. I also had prophetic dreams about her. We were on shaky, or maybe I should say, shady terms. This person was not someone who was involved with my everyday life, but had a major negative impact. I guess my spirit knew I had work to do that I wasn’t quite willing to do while I was awake.
So I definitely believe the more you channel/open yourself the more your going to experience. I think OBE’s come more frequent because the spirit knows it can leave and come back. I also will travel when I am in a deep meditative state.
What are your thoughts about this subject??? I would like to know your take on it.

Lucis, its wonderful to hear you developed the ability to discern what may seem beyond regular, conditioned perception. As some of us learn, beliefs shape our experience with other realms and what we believe will be possible. All values are taught, imposed or aquired. Your connection to your dad is strong.
Out-of-body- experiences (OOBE) tend to be extremely joyful and valuable to those who have them. People who have insight into what this is like often believe its one of the most profound experiences they’ve ever had, but they don’t always know how to compare or explain it. Perhaps its like stepping up a notch on a musical scale and redefining a frame of reference along new bars?
Some people join channelling circles and discover trancework or mediumship before they ever experience OOBE / astral dreaming. For people who explore OOBE first, related sensations may become a reference for other kinds of soul journeys. To become able to produce OOBEs at will is a popular goal. For anyone interested in this subject , I’d highly recommend “Journeys out of the body” by Robert Monroe (Doubleday, 1972). I could also offer other ideas.

Truthfully Liara, the only time I feel comfortable leaving my body other then sleep is meditation. I feel I am left too open to possible unwanted energies. I could do protections, but….
I don’t know of any local Channeling circles, none that I would feel comfortable with. I would be nice if I could get the people I know to do some meditaions….
It is food for thought…. We shall see!

Hi Lucid,
I had a very powerful experience a couple of months ago. Back in high school I dated this girl who I became really close to. We were never really going out but there was a strong connection between us. After my junior year I moved to another country and we eventually lost touch. This was about 13 years ago. However, some months ago I found a letter she wrote me shortly after I moved. In the letter she told me how much she missed me and expressed her feelings for me. Unfortunately, there were so many things going on in my life at that time that I barely took myself time to answer her properly. This is something that I still regret pretty much.
I kept reading the letter over and over again, and the usual thoughts of wondering what might have been struck me. I couldn’t quite let go of these thoughts and kept returning to the letter, reading it several times over the next few weeks. One night I had a very vivid dream in which I met the girl. We didn’t really talk much, but she just snatched the letter out of my hand! I don’t know, maybe the dream was merely a result of me thinking so much about her and “the old times”. For me, though, it was a clear message from her to let go of the past and to move on with my life as well as letting her move on with her life as well…
Thanks for a good blog
