Can Children See Spirits?

Can children see spirits? On that question I can say this, once as a child, when the electricity went out I felt a spirit (maybe my deceased father)…I have a strong belief in paranormal.

Children are still so close to the spirit world, and because their energy is still pure and innocent, I definitely believe they can see or sense spirits. I think a lot of the “imaginary friends” they talk about are their angels watching over them.
As far as feeling your dad, it is possible. You need to close your eyes, open your mind, and listen to your heart for that answer. It seems to be too long ago for me to pick up on it, but it could be possible. When something happens like the electric going out, it turns our attention to our surroundings, and our awareness is heightened. This could be why you would feel him at that time, more so than at others.

I agree children are so much more open and pure of spirit. They do not have the doubt that we adults have. I am sure that children are more likely to have spititual encounters than adults.

Ever since the time I was little I have been seeing ghosts. They come in all forms. People ask me if it bothers me to know they are all around especailly during private moments like taking a shower. I tell them no because I am so use to it, it is like they are not there.
Children are truely blessed!

Hi Mark,
Children are sooo open, they know nothing else until we teach them. I think we play a big part in closing that door! I try not to do it to my kids. And yes, doubt and second guessing ourselves is a inhibitor.

Jami, people ask similar questions. Though I don’t see them as much as I hear them, the situation is the same. I have been having experiences since I was about 5 years old.
I also tend to blend them out so that I am not constantly distracted.
