When I was a young teenager, my friends and I would periodically mess with the spirits. We would do the occasional séance or Ouija board, you know just messing around novice style.

One sunny afternoon, a few of us decided to go into my backyard and have a “mediation” session. Though it was nothing like the way it really should be, we did what “we thought” was right.

We sat down in a circle and starred at each other. We were like statues, no one moved. We had our eyes fixated on each other.

After sitting there for about ten minutes, the atmosphere had changed. The sky darkened with slow moving clouds, and the wind began to blow a breeze that felt very eerie. The tree that we were sitting under had acorns that started to fall at a fast pace.

My attention was distracted because I felt nervous, so I took my eyes off the person who was in front of me, and I looked toward the sky.

I was watching the clouds glide by, when all of a sudden I saw the letter “R” in the sky. With that, I felt I had a force with me that was not my own.

I felt a deep feeling of grief in my heart and then I looked at my girlfriend. I knew the “R” had something to do with her, but I was not sure what it was.

With no words said, we both began to cry. It was like some one had put us in a glass jar. We were separated from the rest of the world.

A few minutes after, my girlfriends mother called her to come home.

Later that day, we found out my girlfriends grandmother was ill with cancer. She was to pass away a short time after. Her name was “Rose”

You see, messages come in all forms and at any given time.
