Where Ever Your Mind Takes You
I know I have said this before, but when I meditate I become free! There is nothing like letting your mind go where ever it wants to go; I can go, or be whatever I want.
Most of my meditations are the ones where I journey. I do sit and clear my thoughts sometimes, but for the most part I am gone.
I began meditating one evening to one of my songs. I was riding on a horse that slowly picked up its speed to a trot. It was like I was stepping out of the darkness of my mind.
As we went, the view broadened. I saw the open land which resembled a prairie. There were big beautiful green trees. A light breeze was blowing. I could hear the sound of the branches and leaves as they danced with the wind. It was as if they were whispering to each other; like they knew I was there.
The sun was shinning brightly. It was so bright, I felt like I almost wanted to shade my eyes. I could almost feel the warmth on my face, as I looked up to the tree tops.
While I was admiring how tall the trees were I saw an eagle. I watched as it soared in one big circle. I wondered what it would be like to be able to spread my wings and fly; nothing to hold me back, just go with the flow of the wind.
I often see and hear nature in my meditations. I feel a certain connection to the animals that present themselves to me on my journeys. From time to time, I will even become those animals.
It is such a great way to relax and be free. I love it!

My favorite form of meditation in walking. I had the great priviledge of having as one of my teachers, Thich Nhat Hahn. We would do walking meditation along the beach in Santa Barbara.
Now I live in Boulder, CO and enjoy my walking medtiation late at night under the stars. When I look out into the stars, I have feeling of being expansive and as if I am home.
Walking at a relaxed pace through nature can take you as high as you want to be. In those quiet walks I find unity consciousness.

A sense of freedom is part of what defines what it means to be human. I share your joy for the experience of meditation. It certainly opens us up to explore new dimensions, from the moment we are ready to open ourselves up.

You could have taken off and flown just like the eagle. In meditational visions there is nothing to hold us back. Spread your wings and fly!

Hi Mark!
I think one of the only ways you can be truly have freedom, is when the freedom of your mind can soar.

Hi Joseph!!!
Wow that sounds so beautiful!!! I think I will try it as soon as the weather gets better… I know that feeling of unity that you speak of… Sometimes when I listen to music, my hole being melds with the rhythm and beat… I then no longer exist as single.
Thank you for sharing!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Liara!
I get this really “literally” cool feeling when I open up…. It is hard to explain. It is kind of like a mild menthol sensation that comes over me, especially around the Crown Chakra……
Wishing you the best weekend!!!

Hey Sophia!!
I do spread my wings… Boy do I fly…. It is such a great feeling….. You know what’s funny….. I am afraid of heights, and do not like to fly in plane… (lol) I guess this may be part of the reason why I love and appreciate it in my mind
… Oh, and is that mind a powerful thing
Hope all is well! Have nice day!
