Our Future - Can it Change
Grace Asks:
Lucid, I have a question maybe you can answer for me regarding “psychics”.
When a psychic volunteers a particular “future”, how much of that can be influenced by things surrounding the people involved, and how ‘fluid’ is the future?
When I was in the church, people were always ‘prophesying’ to each other. It was my position that any prophesy or vision was just a ’snapshot’ of a possible future based upon present condition; change one thing in the “present” and the future can change.
Lucid’s Thoughts:
Hello Grace,
I thought this was an excellent question. I often hear a lot of people talking about this subject. This is why I decided to post it.
Our lives are so complex, and have so many different aspects. Depending on what area you are talking about matters. People both directly, and indirectly effect our lives, therefore I would have to say, they can definitely have an influence over our future.
When we talk about our self, our inner being, we have the most control over what happens with us personally in the future. When we extend our personal life and discuss our family, our jobs, our community etc, the more the outside world and others have a part.
I believe in destiny as well as free will. I believe there are defined times in our life that will come. Our free will is how we get there, and how we handle it. This variance is what can change the future of that particular moment.
I believe most of our future is fluid, but as we are swimming through it, we will hit solid matter. This I believe, are our major life lessons, and can not be avoided. We can try and deny them, work around them, but they will come back until we face them.
When a psychic/prophet sees into the future, they are given that information based on the here and now. Soooo, my answer to you is yes, the future can change, and we do have a lot of influence over it. Everything has a cause and effect, with out it where would we be?
Thanks for your thought provoking comment!

Great answer, Lucid ! More people ought to know that before they rely exclusively on a psychic’s intuition at that one point in time.
Hope that your Thanksgiving was an excellent one, and that you are having a lovely holiday weekend.
I am back to writing on my nice girl blog…

When studying Caroline Myss’ work about 5 years ago, I stumbled upon her Sacred Contracts work. This is the “Destiny” part for me
HOW I reach those points, and what happens when I face one, is the “Free Will” area.
You’ve provided a really awesome answer…Thanks again and I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!

Hi Lucid,
“I believe most of our future is fluid, but as we are swimming through it, we will hit solid matter.”
I really like this analogy. It sums up life. And I like your answer, life is full of cause and effect.
Hope you had a nice weekend and that leads to a fantastic week!

Lucid,
Great thoughts! I agree we are fluid, however life lessons will continue to be presented to us until we learn them and then we will be presented with another. Life is a learning and growing process that never ends.

Thanks for the uplifting reflections. Many people seem to understand that humans exist to live and learn like a ‘work in progress.’
The theme of the question and your response remind me of part of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. One of the teachers, (Lisa Nicholls) sums it up with her explanation of the “time delay.” IN a nutshell, we each attract what we think about. Events unfold in future based on our choices and emotions now. And yet, the time delay enables us to change our minds in the interim, and thus to change the outcomes of our future. Thus what may be predicted about our future can change. Its up to us to decide if it will and also how.

Hi Loving Annie!!!
It has been such a long week. I have been trying to catch up with all my work at the job, and at home. My Thanksgiving was great by the way
.
I don’t like to call myself a “psychic”; I never have. Sometimes I feel like the title is too commercialized. Anyways, I take what they say to a degree and rely on my own inner feelings or thoughts to draw a conclusion!
Hope all is well with you!

Hello Grace, good evening!!!!
No problem, I didn’t mind giving my opinion on this subject
! It is always nice to bounce ideas off of each other. I like people who have a flexible out look on life. Those who have an open mind tend to have the most thirst for knowledge which then becomes their own.
Wishing you a great weekend!

Hi Mark!!!

Thank you for your words of wisdom! Be Well!

Hi Liara!
I read most of the book “The Secret”. I do believe that we attract certain things that we think about, so it is very important that we take responsibility for the things we do and think about!
Thank you for your addition!
