Did Your Family or Friends Ever Try to Shut You Up?
Brian Asks:
Comment-How often do you hear voices?
Lucid, did you ever feel like your family or friends tried to shut you up because they didn’t know how to deal with you? I found this to be true most of my young adulthood.
Lucid’s Thoughts:
I can honestly say, though my friends and family looked at me crossed eyed a few times, they never pushed me away, or hushed me. I was lucky in that area. My family is an open minded bunch for the most part.
When I was little, I use to speak about it a lot, then as I went into my teen years, I myself, quieted down. I did not want to be treated any differently then my peers.
Though my close friends and family stayed current with my experiences through out my adulthood, it was hard for me to open up to “outsiders”. But, here I am, writing on this website, chit chatting with complete strangers. I think maybe I have escaped my shell.
Good questions Brian, Thanks!

I am happy that you had people to support you. I grew up in a strict Christian family and these types of experiences were not excepted as good things. They were considered works of the devil so for me I had to stay quiet about the dreams and visions. Later is life I began to explore it secretly and then once I moved out I was free to soul search and develop myself.
I am glad I stumbled onto your site. I have been quietly reading. I think you have alot to offer people who are developing.

I believe that if us adults would spend alittle more time listening to children instead of shutting them up we could learn alot from them. (Amen)

I do know what you mean about the religions Andrew. As I was on my journey trying to understand myself and my experiences, I too was told more then once that they were of the devil. I was told I needed to pray for it to go away; that it was no good. I to this day have a hard time with that. I do believe in the work of the devil or shall I saw evil, but not with a child, not like that!
I think my mom was the biggiest supporter, and for that I am thankful!
Thanks again!

Cheri that is the truth! We tend to forget that just because we are adults does not mean we know everything!
Thanks!

Lucid,
It is great that you have chosen this medium to open yourself up to. You are a blessing in my life.

Thanks Mark! It’s good to know that a difference can be made, and I am glad I chose this avenue as well! I never thought I would, and there is actually a story to how this all began. I think I probably should briefly share it one of these days.
Thanks so much for the compliment!!!

Yeah adults are good for pushing things to the side that they can not del with. They should relax some and pay attention. We become such hard A**es!

HI Ami- I think adults tend to get wrapped up in their stressful daily lives, and in doing so all the possible magic is set aside. I do agree, we as a whole, need to relax a bit.
Thank you for your thoughts!
