A Silly Happening
As my husband and I laid our heads down to go to sleep. It wasn’t long before my he felt something crawl across his head. I thought it was my hair since it is long and I spread it out all over the pillow every night.
Well, with a quick swoosh of the hand, my husband said, “No its not your hair.” As he turned on the light, there was Benji the bug. He had parked his Cadillac Deville on the window sill and thought he would share our pillow and blankets for the night. I had to tell him, “Sorry Benji, we don’t even let the kids sleep with us anymore!”
I believe in unconditional love, but only to a point. {I was not about to share my blankets with a buggy, I already have to share them with my husband} :)

The bug was driving a Caddie, how big was it lol. Yes, no matter what we do, there will be friends who drop by, especailly in the summer. I love lightening bugs. I actually look forward to seeing them in the summer. They have a calming effect on me

Maybe he wanted to be a bed bug for the night! I don’t blame you for showing him the door.

Hi Beth, I was giggling when I wrote this post. I know it doesn’t really have anything to do with this site other then me not wanted to love my fellow creatures. It was just so funny how it decided to put itself on the pillow like it was staying for the night!
Glad to make you smile!

Hello Cheri - I remember lightening bugs. There were so many of them where I grew up. Where I am now, I barely ever see one. I wonder where they went?
It was so cool to see them blinking their lights in a romantic way!
Thanks for sharing and bringing back some good memories!

I try sometimes to be more accepting of bugs, but I don’t think I’d try so hard as to let them spend the night with me in the bed! Similar to what Mark said, I’d kindly ask my husband to show them the door!

I also had an experience with a bug the other night . I got up to go to the bathroom and I see something on the wall near the molding on the floor. At first I thought it was a gigantic carpenter ant…… I thought I was going to faint!!!! I don’t like most bugs and was not as kind to it. It was so creepy looking that it made the hairs on my arms stand straight up at attention!!! At this point it was him or me and it wasn’t going to be me! It gave me the willies. I grabed some toilet paper and caught it and as he was looking at me, I said sorry buddy but you have got to gooooooo! LOL so I decided that he was going down the bowl to buggy heaven…… Bye bye my friend and away went trouble down the drain! Did I feel bad? Yes I did… I don’t like killiing things. I usually put them outside but I was so tired and I couldn’t stand the thought of maybe he would crawl into bed with me.
You never know what kind of creatures are lurking in the night just waiting to make their debute! Good night my dear friends ……. LOL

LOL that was funny! I wouldn’t have been generous with my pillow either and I sleep alone! Thanks for the laugh!

Hello Desiree! At the time I had the willies, but yes it is funny. My husband must think I am nuts. I was talking to this bug…. feeling like I had to explain myself
Glad you enjoyed! Be well!

Hi Phyllis,
It is hard to escape bugs all together. You could live in the biggest, cleanest place, it doesn’t matter. I try and feel how the bug feels… Probably sad, scared and confused as to his surroundings……
The life of a bug… poor thing lol.
Thanks for writing in. Have a nice day!

Hi Sophia…. I try to be more accepting too. Some of them are just so creepy looking and this one was one of them Yucky Yucky. I could not have taken care of it. I asked my husband to.
At the same time they are grossing me out, I am feeling bad for them…. I think I have mixed emotions lol
Have a nice day!
